The clean up begins – Kilnhurst.

It was great to finally see work begin at Kilnhurst this week. The work required before we can even begin to focus on ‘drying out’ the school is extensive.

Because of the water levels and the contaminants in the water we are going o have to remove a significant amount of wall plaster as well as all of the flooring, including boards throughout KS1 and KS2.

Specialist cleaners began the work on Monday, their brief is to ensure the school is cleared and sanitised so it is safe to access.

It is hard to see the school in its current state but we will get it back to its former glory!
