Coronavirus – CEO message

We are working in unprecedented times.

I know that many of you are expecting the government to announce a wide closure of schools and are confused that other measures have been taken but thus far schools are to be kept open.

The government’s rationale for this decision is the wider social impact that total closure would bring. As school leaders, we accept and take this wider responsibility seriously.

Across our Trust schools are working hard to maintain ‘business as usual’ whilst trying to ensure the well-being of staff and children alike. However as increasing numbers of teachers and school staff are forced to self-isolate, many schools will have to consider partial or full closures. As a Trust, we will do all we can to follow the government’s current advice and remain open so we can offer some support to the families and children in our care.

Our school leaders and others like them across the country have risen to this challenge as they always do in times of need.

We are exceptionally grateful for the ongoing support of our families and communities.

Guidance and advice is being updated on a daily basis and this is being communicated directly to school leaders. We will, of course, update you with any changes.
