The library at Dinnington Community Primary School has been transformed into a magical space for our children to get lost into their favourite book. It is so important to us that our children are exposed to high quality literature, fostering a love of reading.
We’re delighted to share the video below where you will see Cressida Cowell, the Children’s laureate, showing what a huge difference a good primary school library can make to children within our care …
The library space was officially opened by Cressida Cowell on the 24th June 2021. Cressida is a published author & illustrator of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ and ‘Wizards of Once’.
Our children were so excited to see their library opened by a well known author. They had an opportunity to ask questions and were so inspired by Cressida’s passion and enthusiasm for reading.
A HUGE thank you to all the staff at Dinnington Community Primary School, Cressida and the Book Trust for making this happen.
