Working hours: Monday – Thursday: 06:30 – 10:30 and 14:30 – 18:00.
Friday: 06:30 – 10:00 and 14:30 – 18:00
Appointment: Permanent – Full Time
Start date: As soon as possible

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker to join the premises team at White Woods Primary Academy Trust working across Swinton Fitzwilliam Primary School & Kilnhurst Primary School.

The Academy Caretaker plays a key role in school. You will be working closely with the Hub Facilities Officer and Headteacher’s of both schools to not only manage the security of the buildings but to take a pro-active role in the maintenance and management of the school sites.

You will be the first point of contact for staff regarding maintenance and you will therefore be very customer focused, polite and helpful. You will supervise a dedicated team of cleaning staff and you will have great interpersonal skills to support both schools in create an outstanding learning environment for our pupils.

You will work with the Trust Building Surveyor and Hub Facilities Officer to ensure that both schools comply with all requirements of Health and Safety, risk management, and statutory testing, liaising with contractors and external agencies regarding the completion of both planned and reactive maintenance, and the day to day management of the buildings services, plant and equipment to ensure the school site is clean, safe and provides pupils and staff with a great place to learn and work.

Being part of White Woods Primary Academy Trust means that the Caretaker will have a team of 15 colleagues to work and collaborate with across the Trust.
