A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker to join Whiston Worygoose J&I School, which is part of the White Woods Primary Academy Trust and based in Whiston, Rotherham.
The Academy Caretaker plays a key role at the school. You will be working closely with the Hub Facilities Officer and Headteacher to not only manage the security of the building but to take a pro-active role in the maintenance and management of the whole school site. You will be the first point of contact for staff regarding maintenance and you will therefore be very customer focused, polite and helpful. You will supervise a dedicated team of cleaning staff and you will have great interpersonal skills to support the school to create an outstanding learning environment for our pupils.
You will work with the Trust Building Surveyor and Hub Facilities Officer to ensure that the school complies with all requirements of Health and Safety, risk management, and statutory recorded testing and you will liaise with contractors and external agencies regarding planned and reactive maintenance, and the day to day management of building services plant and equipment is undertaken to ensure the school site is clean, safe and provides pupils and staff with a great place to learn and work in line with School’s and Trust’s policies, practices and procedures.
Being part of White Woods Primary Academy Trust means that the Caretaker will have a team of 15 colleagues to work and collaborate with across the Trust. Visits to the school are warmly encouraged and can be arranged through the White Woods Primary Academy Trust Office by calling 01709 267019 or e-mailing email@example.com.
This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check.
